Taylor & Matt’s Oceana Estate Laguna Beach Wedding

When I reflect back to the e-mail I received from one of my favorite MOB’s, I had no idea that Taylor and Matt’s engagement would take me on such an amazing adventure back to California. From the beginning of the planning process, we were challenged with finding the perfect west coast venue that balanced views with privacy, plus easy access for their guests that came from across the country.

What we landed on is the most amazing, unique, and incredibly special venue that only allows a limited number of weddings per year. Oceana Estate is a private home situated in the hills above Laguna Beach overlooking the ocean. It was love at first sight for all of us!

Taylor and Matt’s story dates back to their college years where they first met. From there between cross-country moves and a long-distance relationship, they managed to find each other and their love sustained. Needless to say, the tales told over the wedding weekend outlined a couple that was destined to be together. So much love. From the moment their families and friends started arriving in Laguna Beach and to the incredible rehearsal dinner and welcome reception at The Deck to the send-off in the hills of Laguna Beach there was an abundance of love and magic in the air.

What was most important to Taylor and Matt, besides gorgeous views, was that their family and friends could be there together, celebrating their love and having one of the best nights of their lives. We achieved this and more. The weather was idyllic, the flowers were stunning, the food was amazing, and, other than the wedding planner chasing the ring bearer pup across the lawn during the cocktail hour, I believe everything went off without a hitch thanks to the incredible team of vendors that we had on board. There are a lot of logistics involved with hosting a wedding at a private estate and I would be remiss if I didn’t share my appreciation and success of this event with the A-team that was part of it.
