Kathryn & Justin’s Navy and Orange Fall Deerpark Biltmore Wedding

Kathryn & Justin’s wedding was full of bold navy and orange color and amazing floral detail from a floral cross at the ceremony to winding magnolia leaves at the entryway. It was a beautiful celebration and we loved working with Kathryn and her family to plan the big day. Thank you to Kathryn for sharing her wedding story with us!

From the Bride, Kathryn:

Justin and I met in September of 2011 while he was stationed at Hunter Army Airfield and I was still in school at the Savannah College of Art and Design. We hit it off immediately and began dating that same month. After Justin returned from a nine-month deployment, he returned home and proposed to me on our two year anniversary – of course, I said yes!

Growing up, I attended Camp Glen Arden every summer – and with Justin’s love of the mountains and the great outdoors, the Biltmore Estate was a perfect venue choice for the two of us. We met our wedding planner, Becca Knuth, through a mutual friend and we couldn’t begin to thank her enough for all that she has done. From the absolutely incredible vendors that she recommended to the more simple things like where to eat or what to do when we were in town, Becca never ran out of ideas!

We really wanted to have an intimate wedding in the sense that we wanted each other to know everyone there. We didn’t want to feel overwhelmed on such an already overwhelming day. We wanted to soak it all in with our closest family and friends – and we did just that! We honestly had no idea what we wanted when we began planning, but with the guidance of our amazing planner, everything came together. Becca was so on top of it – and fun to work with!

Our wedding was both beautiful and elegant. We had pillows made for the wooden benches in the courtyard monogrammed with each bridesmaids initials, along with my new married monogram. Justin and I danced to Moon River which had always been a favorite of mine, but being that we first met in Savannah made it that much more special. From the music, to the vendors, to the food – I just can’t begin to thank everyone enough for putting on such a production. Fall was definitely in the air that weekend and we could not have asked for a more beautiful day to start our journey as newlyweds!
