Kristen & Anthony’s Spring Biltmore Wedding

As a wedding planner, there is nothing I want more than for my couple’s day to be absolutely perfect. I want the sun to be shining, birds to be singing, and for there not to be a cloud in the sky. Unfortunately, while there are many things that I can control and plan for, the weather is not one of them. Kristen and Anthony’s wedding will live in my mind as the spring wedding where winter crashed the party. Instead of sunny skies with warm spring air, we had sleeting rain and freezing temperatures. Through it all, this couple pressed on and laughed and smiled through the hiccups we encountered, which showed just how in love they are with each other.

In addition to the weather, I will also remember this dinner reception. The bride had envisioned an intimate and romantic dinner tent for her guests. The room was composed of a single sweetheart table and two long feasting tables with a floral garland running down the center, complete with tall tapered candles in gold holders adding an elegant and romantic glow. To give the feeling we were in a hidden garden (and to hide the metal poles), the tent poles were covered in greenery that culminated in a beautiful floral chandelier hanging from the ceiling. If anything, the wintery weather outside enhanced the cozy feeling inside the tent and everyone had a great night.

Congratulations to Kristen + Anthony! Now that you’ve made it through your perfect rainy day, I hope there are nothing but rainbows on the other side. xoxo Caroline
