Vidhi & Anant’s wedding was the first traditional Indian wedding we’ve planned in Asheville. It was a beautiful week of events overflowing with delicious food, colorful sari’s, and joyful dancing. The wedding day began very early as the bridal party got dressed for the occasion. The traditions began with the baraat. Anant traveled up the hill to Diana at Biltmore on a horse followed by his friends and family as they all danced along to lively music. The bride’s family welcomed him through a beautiful floral arch and the wedding ceremony continued. Vidhi entered on a horse-drawn carriage and the couple released doves at the end of the morning celebration. As the guests enjoyed a traditional Indian meal at the Holiday Inn, we continued setting up for a Gatsby-inspired reception on the South Terrace at Biltmore. In the evening, guests arrived to tour the Biltmore House on a red carpet and enjoyed hors d’oeuvres on the Library Terrace. The reception included a champagne girl, a twenties-inspired dance, the wedding party Bollywood-style toast, and fireworks! See more images in the feature on Indian Weddings Magazine.
