Andrea & Ty got married on a Thursday…May 27th, 2010.
They are two of my favorite clients. Self proclaimed “foodies” it was important to them to include great food & great wine. The reception tables were all named after select cheeses which the guests could enjoy during the cocktail hour.

It was a beautiful day and we got to work with the fabulous Parker J Pfister who photographed this wonderful couple and helped capture the wedding of their dreams.
The ceremony was held at the Blue Ridge Court at the North Carolina Arboretum
Andrea wanted a romantic and intimate garden wedding. The Arboretum was the perfect backdrop for their day.
With purple as the accent color, hydrangeas, roses and lavender were incorporated to bring her vision to life
Stacey from the Bloom Room did an amazing job as always…
The Baker Center was transformed into a romantic candlelit space with lots of mercury candles and flowers.

Andrea & Ty added personal touches like the Cigar and Bourbon Bar during the cocktail hour and the Candy Bar for the reception. All of the Candy was purple! Andrea created adorable candy bags for the guests to fill up as well as lavender filled bags for the farewell toss. The programs, table cards and signs were printed by The Green Kangaroo.
Gotta love Andrea’s shoes!
We loved working with Parker J and would post all of his photos if we could…

Jenna & Jeremy’s ceremony and reception at the Champagne Cellar at Biltmore Estate was one of the most romantic weddings I’ve had the opportunity to be a part of …maybe it was the intimacy of the Champagne Cellar, or that their guest count was just immediate family and a few close friends or the hundreds of candles that lit the space…. Jenna had chosen a very traditional and romantic color palate of blush pink, ivories and green hydrangea and Stacy with The Bloom Room executed her vision beautifully. Special thanks to Kelly Giezentanner for these stunning photos! We’d also like to thank Magic Hour Media for the videography services and Elite Limo for the vintage Rolls Royce!

Parrish knew what she wanted from the beginning of the planning process, and what resulted was one of the most beautiful and most professionally satisfying weddings I’ve ever been a part of. I absolutely loved the concept, decor vision and venue from the beginning. The road that it took to get to the end might have been a bit windy, but it was well worth it. Let’s start with the venue – Laurel Ridge Country Club built a fabulous, brand new Clubhouse that is attached to their existing Pavilion. The staff had never done a ceremony in the Clubhouse, facing the golf course. Phone conversations, site visits and several planning meetings later we determined that we could fit 250 people in the Clubhouse to witness Parrish & Jonathan’s ceremony – and this revelation is where I’ll start for this blog post….. The ceremony had all of the makings for a stunning yet meaningful part of the day – The officiant was a childhood friend (and superfun!), Parrish’s nephews were ring bearers and they wore little searsucker suits and carried yellow trucks, the view from the Clubhouse was plentiful with a wall of windows behind the altar, there was a hand-constructed natural wood cross and tons of Parrish and Jonathan’s family and friends to witness the beautiful occasion! Did I mention the extraordinary talents of Amber Holritz by Corey McNabb yet? She documented such a beautiful day….

The men started the day off with a round of golf – the view from the course is just breathtaking!

Parrish was so happy all day – her smile was just infectious!

Parrish’s dress was breathtaking – A lovely Vera Wang!

Amber is so creative with detail shots! I love this photo of the rings!

There’s the smile again!

Amber really has an incredible ability to capture emotions on the day of the event! Thanks so much Amber!

He is so cute!

Parrish greeting her dad just as she was getting ready to walk down the aisle!

Beautiful!

They are so happy!

Julie and Chandler were married just a couple of weeks ago at the Inn on Biltmore Estate. Julie was so organized and such a pleasure to work with! The ceremony was held on The Vista at The Inn on Biltmore Estate – even though the rain threaten for most of the day – it held off so the guests could enjoy the breathtaking views of the Biltmore Estate property and mountains. The guests flowed inside for cocktails in the gallery followed by an incredible reception in the Vanderbilt Room. The floral decor provided by Bloom Room was so gorgeous – very romantic in tones of gold, blush pink, soft greens and purples. As always, Nicole, Kyla and the staff at Biltmore Estate were an absolute pleasure to work with. We’d also like to thank Air Haven Limo for the fabulous getaway car and Five Star Entertainment for the photo booth, gorgeous uplighting and some great dance tunes! Both Derek and Galen of Two Ring Studios are so incredibly talented, both photographers and videographers – they are always so easy to work with – here’s a little teaser of this stunning wedding. I can’t wait to see the video! More photos and the video to follow…..

Blush Make-up by Wendy Arthur Balance did an incredible job with Julie’s make-up!

I love this shot! Julie looks radiant!

This is their first look shot! It’s stunning!

Beautiful Blooms by Stacey at the Bloom Room!

This is my favorite shot! The sky looks incredible with the Biltmore House in the background.

Julie hand-tied all of the monograms on the custom tea lights – her guest favors.

Loved the petal cones with the custom monogram!

The photo booth was quite the hit!

Air Haven Limo provided this gorgeous car – what a stunning photo in front of the estate…

So, as promised, here’s Post # 2 for Dave and Neera’s traditional, sunset, American wedding reception at Deerpark at Biltmore Estate. More gorgeous pictures from the first post of their Hindu wedding ceremony here.
As I said in the last post, I absolutely loved working with Dave and Neera! They knew what they wanted and they were all about the details! Which of course, I love – and one of my favorite photographer duos, Geoff & Cheyenne Schultz were there to capture every beautiful moment. I need to give a shout-out to Blossoms at Biltmore Park for the beautiful floral design and Vinny with Splitsecond Sound for playing some rockin’ tunes! I can’t wait to post the link to their coverage on TLC’s “Say Yes to the Dress” – We will definitely let you know when their episode is going to air!

The Biltmore Estate property is so gorgeous! This is one of the many shots that I love!

Neera’s bridesmaids looked stunning (and were really fun people!) – They picked their own looked and owned it the rest of the night!

Loved the green ties!!

Neera was really into the details but wanted them executed in a simplistic way – she loved natural colors, candlelight and fabulous printed material…..

So, apparently Neera is a math whiz – Every escort card had a difficult math problem to solve to find your table! Love the idea, but not sure I can relate – if I was attending the wedding, I probably would have never made it from cocktail hour to my dinner seat – I did have master list and I had to “help” some people find their tables!

So, this may be my favorite idea of the wedding – During dinner each table created a fun team name and answered trivia questions about Neera and Dave (they met at trivia night at a local club so this was really appropriate!) and a friend gathered the responses and MC’ed an awesome segway from dinner to cake cutting and toasts – and by the way – I got 7 out of 10 right! I loved getting to know Neera and Dave and it showed!

So, the most creative idea of the night goes to the apple table numbers – to give the table number’s height – we used forks inserted into the apples – it may sound odd, but it executed beautifully!
