Sarah & Mike’s Laurel Ridge Country Club Wedding

Sarah and Mike are my kind of couple – fun, laid back and totally in love. I loved Sarah’s vision from the beginning to keep with the natural theme of the mountains and use rustic farm tables and barrels, along with seasonal flowers with no formal color palette, to highlight the space and the views. Emphasis was placed on special details, including hand lettered signage, a beautiful handmade wooden cross for the ceremony backdrop, and a bible used as a guest book.

Sarah and Mike put their faith forward as an important part of the day, which brought meaning to the details and created a joyful celebration for all of their guests. The happy couple ended their ceremony with a selfie and the weekend timeline even included Groomsmen Beer Olympics as an activity! I loved how the ceremony songs included contemporary songs that were important to the couple. The couple chose to use the Star Wars and Indiana Jones theme songs for the recessional. Speaking of Star Wars, Mike is a HUGE fan and Sarah surprised him with special visit from a Storm Trooper and Boba Fett. The characters posed for photos with the wedding party before the ceremony and took pictures with the guests during cocktail hour!
