Aly & Chris celebrated their marriage in style with their cherished friends & family at the Farm at Old Edwards Inn, in Highlands, North Carolina. The bridesmaids were dressed in champagne tones and looked striking alongside the groomsmen’s handsome black tuxedo’s.

The celebration began with a heartfelt ceremony under a tent in the garden. After the ceremony, guests sipped their champagne while enjoying the early fall weather in the orchard. The flowers in early fall hues of deep peach, pink, aubergine and green tied the design together. The glass pavilion glowed with candles, table runners created with eucalyptus and grapes, towering natural centerpieces, and accents of gold on the tables. Dinner included braised short ribs and tenderloin and a dessert bar placed on an antique cart included mini fruit pies and Baileys shooters with chocolate chip cookies! It was a perfect sweet treat! Later in the evening, a hot apple cider and bourbon bar opened outside while the band, Party Nation, amped up their music. Aly changed into her dancing dress and the guests had the time of their lives on the dance floor!

Truly a incredible celebration for a incredible couple….Cheers Aly & Chris! We are so excited Aly & Chris’ wedding was featured on the cover of Southern Bride! Pick up a copy to see more of their beautiful love story.

Lindsay and Jonathan were married on a crisp fall day in early November at Claxton Farm. They envisioned a simple and elegant outdoor wedding with natural and handcrafted details. Jonathan created the table numbers and place card holders; while Lindsay created the programs, photo shutters, and escort cards. We incorporated natural details, including apples, into the decor for a simple, understated fall theme.

Lindsay’s father’s best friend officiated the ceremony and it was a lovely, personal service. After the ceremony, the sun set over the autumn-colored mountains as guests enjoyed cocktails and appetizers at the barn. It was an idyllic evening for a fireside dinner and the bride and groom’s apple-adorned chairs were a lovely nod to the season. For dessert, guests were served an assortment of Lindsay and Jonathan’s favorite cakes and pies.

One of our favorite moments of the evening was when the bride teamed up with the bridal party to serenade the groom with her rendition of The Way I Am by Ingrid Michaelson. They had a lot of fun with the props and it was a sweet way for Lindsay to say ‘I love you’ to Jonathan.

Thanks to Jeremy Russell Photography for sharing the photos from their fall Claxton Farm wedding!

The Biltmore House provides one of the most stunning and majestic settings for a ceremony and reception in the region. With a backdrop of the Biltmore House and Blue Ridge Mountains, it’s easy to understand why this is one of the most coveted locations on Biltmore Estate. It’s certainly an Asheville Event Co. team favorite! Whether you dream of an opulent soiree or an intimate celebration, Biltmore House & Gardens may be the perfect destination for your big day!

Front Lawn

Imagine arriving to your wedding on a horse-drawn carriage or vintage car in front of America’s largest home. The striking backdrop sets the tone for an evening to remember and is the perfect vantage point for beautiful photos of your ceremony. The lush, green lawn in front of Biltmore House is ideal for a wedding ceremony of 125-500 guests.

Library Terrace

As the ceremony ends and you seal your marriage with a kiss, guests are invited to tour a section of the Biltmore House and exit onto the Library Terrace. Cocktails are enjoyed on the terrace overlooking the unparalleled views of the Blue Ridge Mountains and under a vine-covered pergola. As the sun sets, you’ll continue to the reception on the South Terrace.

South Terrace

Down the stairs from the Library Terrace sits the South Terrace. The South Terrace of Biltmore House offers dramatic views of rolling hills, forests, and mountains. This spacious venue is ideal for a tented reception of 125-500 guests. Your ceremony could also be held at this venue if you desire the mountain view.

It is the weekend of love! This Valentine’s Day weekend, we are so excited to share Alex & Jake’s Old Edwards Inn wedding featured on Brides!

From the Bride… “I wanted the weekend to feel like a vacation for everyone. We made sure everyone felt taken care of and welcome. It meant so much to us to have all of our friends and family in one place, so it was as much about honoring them as it was our marriage.”

Thank you, Brides!

We are so excited to have Caitlin & Martin’s wedding featured on Style Me Pretty today!

From the Bride… “We wanted to keep things simple and allow the natural beauty of the area be the backdrop of our celebration. Claxton Farm was recommended by Asheville Event Co. (our planner) and as soon as we saw it, we knew it was perfect. We wanted our guests to be comfortable and Claxton, located in an Appalachian mountain valley with 360 degree views, was strikingly gorgeous while at the same time provided plenty of shelter from the frequent storms that roll through the mountains during the North Carolina summertime.”

Thank you, Style Me Pretty!

Though the holiday season is over and we are in serious planning mode for our 2016 weddings, we wanted to share this art deco masquerade murder mystery holiday party at the S&W for Google’s Lenoir, NC office. It was a party unlike any other!

The evening began as guests arrived at the Hilton Biltmore Park and were greeted with a welcome bag that included branded martini glasses and snacks. The masqueraded guests met for cocktails in Roux and were then invited to board trolleys and form teams for the evenings festivities. Performers greeted the guests on the trolleys as they journeyed into downtown Asheville and gave them a glimpse (and some clues) of what to expect.

Once they provided the “password” to enter the famed S&W, guests were treated to specialty cocktails by Cordial and Craft and delicious food from Corner Kitchen Catering. With a photo booth, a DJ mixing 20s music, a murder mystery that involved team engagement, feather dancers, and acrobatics, there was so much to enjoy. Thank you to Realities Photography for sharing the images from the evening!

We are so excited to have Chelsea & Michael’s wedding featured on Mountainside Bride! Their day was filled with sunshine, amazing flowers and so much love. As Asheville was a destination wedding for these two Floridian love birds, we helped bring their day together with the help of many talented vendors. Their rustic chic, dreamy peach and blush color palette was lovely against the Claxton Farm mountains and we are thankful we get to share the images from Blue Bend Photography and video from Iron Kite Films with you.

Thank you, Mountainside Bride!!

The planning process for Stephanie and Anthony’s wedding was a family affair! I loved getting to know them and both of their parents throughout the planning process. Stephanie and her mom, Patty, have impeccable taste and the wedding design reflected that. Shades of blush, ivory, white and champagne filled the ceremony on the Front Lawn at Biltmore Estate, as well as the beautifully lined reception tent in the Italian Gardens. The exquisite luxury linens from Party Tables really set the tone for every tablescape. Stacey at the Bloom Room’s flowers complimented the location, tent and linens perfectly. I also loved the escort cards tied to glasses of champagne for every guest for their seating assignments. We Got the Beat Band, an Asheville Event Co favorite, kept all of the guests dancing all night long.

Congratulations to Stephanie and Anthony!

Catherine and James’ wedding was a wonderful, love-filled weekend teeming with activities for their guests, beautiful colors and southern charm. Their vision and style for their wedding was mountain elegance – sophisticated with a nod to nature.

They chose to get married at The Farm at Old Edwards Inn, a beautiful venue nestled in the mountains, in Highlands, North Carolina, a romantic and outdoorsy mountain town, popular for many in Atlanta, Georgia. Their colors were coral, bright pink, and tangerine orange with lilac accents. The florist, Blossoms at Biltmore Park, created a floral cross that acted as the ceremony backdrop and the vibrant colors and patterns weaved throughout the day were captured by Jarrad Lister Photography. Their signature drinks were Moscow Mules and they had their favorite Atlanta party band, Yacht Rock Review, keeping everyone on the floor dancing the night away.

Eleanor and Steve have been together for a while… 10 years! They met in college and share a love of music, travel, cooking and the outdoors. When Steve (finally!) proposed on their 10th anniversary, it was time to plan a party to celebrate!

Eleanor + Steve currently live in Boston, but as lovers of the mountains and with family in Asheville, they decided to host their wedding on family property in North Carolina. They wanted their guests to have fun and to celebrate their marriage in a relaxed setting. The ceremony took place on the lawn with the autumn-colored mountains as the backdrop.  A light mist welcomed guests, but didn’t dampen anyones spirits. Officiated by the brides uncle, the ceremony incorporated personal touches. The joy between the couple and their guests was bountiful! We incorporated farm tables and exposed wood combined with rustic, simple decor for the reception. With a palate of blues, green, cream and touches of gold, local seasonal flowers with colorful jars brightened the tables. Signature cocktails, local beer, cornhole, bocce and horseshoes entertained the guests during the cocktail hour and after a wonderful BBQ dinner, the guests packed the dance floor and danced to the amazing Dickens band. Thank you to Sunday Grant Photography for sharing these gorgeous images with us!
